We celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday with 60 pre Kindergarteners, this is
in a rural area outside of Newnan. Most of the families are single parents
and on an 100% free and reduced lunch and breakfast program. To enhance
our Literacy program we read to the children and leave books for them to
take home. |

| We also work with the parent(s) on the appropriate way to read
to your child. Many of the homes have no books. They draw pictures and
we engage in conversation with the children to check for comprehension. They
made their hats and colored pictures of the Cat and the Hat (Artistic
abilities were tested ). |

We provided cake for the pre-k and kindergarten
classes during lunch with green eggs and ham. Afterward they had a Cat and
Hat parade. |
